About Youth With A Mission in Sarh
We at Youth With A Mission (Jeunesse En Mission) Sarh are excited to be a part of what God is doing in Chad! God has given us a vision of the light of the Gospel coming out from Chad to all of North Africa and the world - as depicted on our T-shirts (below). Isaiah 60:1-3 “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord shines upon you. See, darkness covers the earth, and thick darkness is upon the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.”
God has put on our hearts to be a part of the equipping and mobilizing of the Chadian church to be world changers. We believe that the principles in the Word of God will equip believers to transform nations - in education, business, government, environment, justice and many other areas. Pray with us as we train up the body of Christ in Chad and work together with them to reach out to those who don’t know the Lord.
Youth With A Mission has three main thrusts of ministry -
Training - equipping the body of Christ
Evangelism - sharing the Gospel
Mercy Ministries (Relief & Development) - showing the love of God in practical ways.
Here is a bit of what we are doing in each of these areas:
Training - Equipping the Body of Christ
An important part of what we as YWAM do is training - currently we in YWAM Sarh offer the Discipleship Training School, a course consisting of 12 weeks in the classroom, and then 8 weeks outreach - where the students put into practice what they have learned. DTS is a life-changing encounter with God, a challenge to walk in His ways, and to reach out to others with His truth. Our DTS runs in February annually , in French and English.
We also run our School of Biblical Studies (Core Course) in October, annually. This three-month course immerses you in the Word. Students read through the whole Bible in three months, and learn the inductive Bible Study method, doing an in-depth study on at least one book from each type of literature in the Bible. They also learn some principles of teaching, preaching, and leading a small group Bible Study.

Evangelism - sharing the Good News
In everything we do, we have many opportunities to share the gospel with our actions and words. In the photo below, children are listening to Bible stories, learning about the God of love. Please pray that we would be effective witnesses to who HE is.
Mercy Ministries
We believe that God has called us to show His love to the world in practical ways. One way in which we are doing this currently in Sarh is through ministry to street children. We have been able to help some of these boys with their medical care and get them enrolled in school again. One of our goals is also to help with reconciliation with their families.
